Ever feel like this after your child’s birthday party?
As a new mom I wanted everything to be perfect for Logan’s first birthday. I think he was right around 6 months when I started planning the party and coming up with a theme. I spent hours organizing, printing, and going over details so everything would be perfect. Two days prior to the party was spent cleaning and putting up decorations that would be out of reach of little hands. The day before was spent running to the grocery store to get all the food and picking up the cake and that evening I was up late with my friend Victoria prepping the food for the next day. I woke up extra early on the big day to finish decorating and getting the food ready. The next thing I knew it was an hour before the party and I hadn’t even showered or got Logan dressed for the day, I rushed to get myself half way presentable for when our guests started to arrive. The party went great but I was so busy being a hostess I didn’t get the opportunity to enjoy much of it. Soon we were saying goodbye to our friends and family. I was already exhausted and still had a good 2 hours of cleaning up ahead of me.
It is in that moment, after the party, when the guests have gone and the cleaning up is done you promise yourself that you will never-ever do it again. This is where I’d like to introduce you to Sky Zone, the world’s first indoor trampoline park. I was invited by Sky Zone to have a party there in exchange for my honest review.
When you book a party with Sky Zone you’re basically getting an all-inclusive party that includes; dedicated check in, paper products, entertainment, food, party favors, and clean up. They have packages that range from 8 to 25 jumpers that you can find more about HERE. Now let’s get to the fun stuff!
Call Sky Zone and select prompt one for events, where you are then directed to a highly trained team that is in place to handle all the details of your party. Depending on how much research you have done about the party packages available at Sky Zone, the call to get your party booked can take anywhere from 10 to 30 minutes. Once your party is booked you don’t have to do anything, except mailing out your party invitations.
When you arrive at Sky Zone on the day of the party, you will find a dedicated area to get you and your guests all checked in quickly. Your group is assigned a party host that makes sure everyone has a waiver signed and sky socks. I really liked they had a cart near the check in for our guests to leave their belongings on so we didn’t have to rent lockers. Right before the party is going to start all the jumpers will get a sticker with their jump time on it, then your host will go over the rules and bring you to your private jumping area. Our super awesome hostess was Shaniah, after the party another one of the moms told me she also thought Shaniah was magnificent, so it wasn’t just me!
The kids are then let loose and have one hour to jump around. You can join in on the fun and jump with them, or you can relax in the parent lounge while the attendants at Sky Zone make sure the kids are playing nice. For our party, most of the adults jumped with the kids. I was sure the school aged kids would have a great time, but I wasn’t quite so sure about the toddlers and adults. I really wanted to see if Sky Zone parties were fun for all ages and as you can see from the picture below we had kids that were just old enough to walk, up to adults. I was pleasantly surprised how much fun all the different ages had at Sky Zone.
Once your jump hour is up the host will help you get all your kids together, and you move back into a party room where you have beverages, pizza, and cake. Your host does all the cutting and serving, so you can take pictures or just relax. Before your guest leave they get a party favor that includes a Sky Zone water bottle, bracelet, and temporary tattoo. Here comes the best part, you get to leave the cleaning up to the Sky Zone staff.
I can say without a doubt I would love to have another party at Sky Zone. Everything that went into this party on my end was very minimal, and I can really see the advantage of letting the staff at Sky Zone do all the work. When you take into consideration the cost of food, decorations, entertainment, and party favors, you are probably close to the cost of a party at Sky Zone, but after you figure in your time for setting up, cleaning, errands, and your sanity. I’d say Sky Zone is a great value even for those who are not so domestically challenged
I have a few extra details more specific to the St. Paul location that I wanted to give, that didn’t really fit in anywhere above, but I thought they were worth mentioning.
The bathrooms were very clean, I typically prepare myself for the worst when using a restroom where there are a bunch of kids.
The staff was very friendly, patient, and efficient. Our host was Shaniah, and she was awesome!
The cake was probably the most delicious I have ever had, and the pizza was great too. We had no leftovers and I don’t think I’ve ever seen a quarter sheet of cake go so quickly.
I thought Sky Zone was one big trampoline, but it’s actually several different jump areas. There was an area for our private party, an area for the foam pit, and basketball hoops, and then another area for the open jump.
Before this party I would have thought Logan was to young for Sky Zone, but after, I can say for certain we will be back. Sky Zone offers a toddler time for kids forty inches in height or under, and I think he would really enjoy that, so we will be checking it out next week.
If you want to check out Sky Zone for yourself I have a buy 1 get 1 free coupon for their Plymouth (Minneapolis) or Oakdale (St Paul) locations OR take 10% off any birthday party package.
Because our party at Sky Zone was such a huge success, I’m really excited for this next part! Sky Zone has provided me with a 4 pack of 60 minute jump passes, and Sky Socks that one of my lucky Minnesota readers can win by entering below.
Sky Zone has two locations here in Minnesota, but they also have locations across the US and worldwide.
